Summary
After the destruction of a Klingon moon the Klingons
sue for peace. The Enterprise is sent to escort the Klingon Chancellor
to the peace talks. However the Klingon ship is apparently fired on by
the Enterprise and the chancelor killed by 2 unidentified Enterprise crewmen.
Kirk and McCoy are held reponsible by the Klingons for this and are sent
to a prison planet called Rura Pente. Meanwhile Spock tries to find the
true cause of the attack, rescue Kirk and McCoy and save the Chancellor's
daughter from assassination as she strives to complete the peace deal.
